First day of School

On July 17, the students of SHB Cambridge came back to school after a month of school holiday. To welcome the new students, the teachers and student council members prepared a few games which was held in our Cambridge Halls from the 17th to the 18th of July.

After the distribution of houses for the new students, we were separated to four houses: Red Wolves, Green Dragons, Blue Dolphins and Yellow Lions. On the 17th we played 2 games together, which was “Locked Knees Relay” and “Magic Carpet Ride”. Both of the games really showed the teamwork of all the 4 houses.

On the 18th, we were first given one hour to make our own house yell which will be judge after by Ms. Meena and Laoshi Zhang. All of the house yells really showed the uniqueness of each house. Then, we had plenty time left to 5 more games in total: Pyramid, Pass the Ping Pong, Hula Hoop Pass, Burst the Balloon and Drink Pong. All of the games were really enjoyable, but I personally love the “Pass the Ping Ping”, everyone really showed their determination and teamwork.

Before we went home, the winners were announced, Yellow Lions won first luckily, green dragons second, blue dolphins third and red wolves fourth.

In the end of the day, we all had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed all the events.
