Being a member of the student council is an exciting experience, but sometimes we have difficulty balancing homework, school, and getting enough rest. But don't worry because proper time management can really help you deal with everything without feeling too tired. Here are some simple tips that help you make your day easier and less tiring.
Making a schedule is really important and helpful. It helps you organize what you need to do so you don't miss anything. You can write down all the tasks you need to complete, such as homework, meetings, and break time, in a planner, on little notes, or in an app to plan your day.
Set a specific time for doing homework and studying. This helps you manage your time efficiently, so you don't spend too long on one task and can stay on track with assignments or material. Also, include time for student council tasks like organizing meetings and preparing for upcoming events. Remember to prioritize rest and avoid staying awake for too long.
Finish homework or classwork that is close to the deadline first to avoid missing assignments or receiving lower scores. Some tasks are more urgent than others, so it’s important to identify which ones require your quick attention. Start working on big council tasks earlier to avoid rushing and to avoid stress or pressure. By doing this, you’ll have more time to focus on quality and stay calm while doing the process.
What I mean by using free time wisely is to use short breaks during the day for small tasks. For example, using free periods to review some homeworks or even making plans for student council events during the lunch time. By doing this, it keeps you being productive and focused. So it is really important to manage your free time , even if it's just a little break.
Keep separate folders for schoolwork and student council tasks so everything is easy to find. It’s also a good idea to make a checklist to help you keep track of what you’ve done and what’s still left to finish. You can use different colors for your folders or notes to make things easier to spot. Check your list often and update it as you complete tasks. Staying organized will help you work faster and feel less stressed.
Make sure to never skip rest just to finish a task. Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night to help you stay productive the next day. You can also use small breaks, like lunch or recess, to relax for a bit during a busy day. Don’t push yourself too hard because taking care of yourself is just as important as getting things done.
In conclusion, balancing student council, homework, rest, and school may be hard, but there are many ways to stay productive by making a good plan. Focus on what’s important, stay organized, and remember to always take care of yourself without pushing too hard.
