From 13 to 17 July 2026, Harapan Bangsa Modernhill Junior and Senior High School successfully conducted its 2026/2027 Student Orientation Program (MPLS), welcoming all students from Grades 7 to 12. The five-day program marked the beginning of the new academic year by fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student could feel connected and valued.
This year's theme, “Together We Belong: Learning, Growing, and Thriving Together,” reflected the school's commitment to building a strong sense of belonging while encouraging students to grow academically, socially, and personally. The program was designed to help students adapt confidently to school life, strengthen relationships across grade levels, and embrace the values of the Harapan Bangsa community.
The orientation began with a morning assembly, an official opening ceremony, and engaging ice-breaking activities led by the Student Council (OSIS). Students were introduced to the school's vision, mission, goals, core values, leadership team, and faculty members. They also learned about the school's culture, rules, and policies, helping them understand the expectations and responsibilities of being members of the school community.
Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of educational and interactive activities, including teamwork games, homeroom sessions, campus tours for new students, and English and Mandarin matriculation classes. These activities were carefully designed to support students' academic readiness while promoting collaboration, communication, and mutual respect.
Beyond familiarising students with the school environment, the orientation programme focused on character development, leadership, responsibility, and positive relationships. Senior and junior students had valuable opportunities to interact, strengthening unity and creating a supportive atmosphere across all grade levels.
The success of the programme was made possible through the dedication of the school leadership, teachers, staff, homeroom teachers, and Student Council members, who worked together to ensure that every student experienced a meaningful and enjoyable start to the academic year.
Through the 2026/2027 Student Orientation Program, Harapan Bangsa Modernhill reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and inspiring beginning for every learner. With enthusiasm, confidence, and a shared sense of belonging, students are now ready to begin another year of learning, growing, and thriving together.
