Family is the first unit of the society that every teenager meets. They are the one’s helping teenagers to build their own character and mindsets, helping them to communicate with others, helping them to make better choices in their lives, giving them encouragement when they feel down, telling them what they shouldn’t be doing because it’s not good for them. For example, when you get bad scores on a test, parents usually tell you to study harder and give you encouragement by telling you that you can get good scores on the next test and giving you advice.
As teenagers build their own character, family should take a closer look on how they grow up so they won’t make wrong decisions. Teenagers will be deciding what they want to do recklessly, they will start thinking about the future, for example, jobs, marriage, and family. If they like subjects in school like accounting, they will think about being an accountant for a big company, or if they like science, they will start thinking about being a scientist.
But, to be a supporting family member, teenagers and family need to maintain a healthy relationship among family members. The best way to maintain a healthy relationship among family members is to keep communicating with other family member, that way teenagers can keep talking to them and be open to them so they could support the teenagers life to the fullest and help them to achieve their dreams. And at the end, successful teenagers will make their family proud.
