Richard St. John’s video, TED Talks: Success is a Continuous Journey, teaches a valuable lesson about success. The presentation theme is that success is a never-ending journey rather than a single destination. The TED Talk mainly discusses success, motivation, and constant self-improvement applied to various situations, such as starting a business, raising a family, or changing the world. This TED talk aims to teach us that success should be continually worked on for self-improvement and that even after we have achieved success, we should never rest.
I learned from this TED Talk that success comes in various forms. It does not just arrive when you want it; instead, it comes when you have worked hard to acquire it and make it a reality. Indeed, success is a never-ending road on which you should never give up. It is a route that should never be interrupted because if you do, you risk losing the achievement you worked so hard to achieve and returning to square one. Being successful is a tremendous accomplishment since it allows you to realize your aspirations. But you must keep going if you do not want an accomplishment to diminish.
Furthermore, the talk also contains motivating words that might significantly impact the audience. Even if you have achieved all of your aspirations and goals, if you stop working to maintain them at the pinnacle of success, they will all fade away, leaving you dumbfounded. Never, ever give up. Don’t be scared to try again and again because it will eventually pay off. Failure and remorse will follow if you stop trying.
Success gives you an incredible feeling that you may be proud of. On the other hand, your success will be taken away if you stop working at it. I agree with the point of Richard ST John’s TED Talk Success is a Continuous Journey because it reminds me that success is not a one-way street, but rather an incredible journey on which you must work hard every day. In life, there is no wrong in trying; nevertheless, if you stop trying, failure will always be the consequence, preventing you from achieving successes. If you want to be successful, implementing and adhering to the eight traits described in this talk will assist you in maintaining your level of success.
