The Vesak Celebration Vitual 2566 Buddhist Era / 2022 Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill Preschool was held on Thursday, 19 May 2022. Vesak Celebration is an activity held to commemorate three events, the first event being the birth of Prince Siddharta, the ascetic Gotama became Buddha and Buddha Parinibbana. This activity was attended by all students, staff and teachers of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill Preschool, this is the time to be able to respect each other’s differences.

The Vesak Celebration was filled with various events including the reading of the Dhammapada, performance of students to singing Buddhist songs, watching videos about the Vesak meaning from Bhiksuni Zong Kai and watching story about tolerance.

Ms Theresia Listiyawati as the principal of the school gave a speech and wished a happy Vesak to all Buddhist teachers, staff and students. And also remind teachers and students to respect differences as an effort to build harmony.

In the video, Bhiksuni Zong Kai, explain the theme respect differences as an effort to build harmony. Bhiksuni Zong Kai explained about the meaning of Vesak Celebration and also explained how to live a happy life and remind to practice tolerance in daily life.

Overall the activities of Vesak 2566 BE / 2022 run well, all students, teachers and staff were very cooperative and enthusiastic following this event.
