My Mom

An inspirational person that I know personally is my mom. She is a diligent, hard-working, and independent woman. She is a career woman in addition to being my mom. She has spent her entire life working. She works every day to support our family’s finances. 

Behind her success, my mom had gone through tough days and faced many failures before she achieved what she has gotten today. She was born into a poor family, but my mom’s parents were still able to send her to school despite their inability to pay her tuition on time. My mom was insecure among other students who were from rich families. However, she soon learned that she should work hard to be the best student in the class. She needed money for her savings when she was in senior high school, so she worked as a tailor in her neighbor’s house. She studied, worked, and cleaned the house every day. 

After graduating from senior high school, she looked for a job in a newspaper and worked until she had enough money to go to college. She applied for a variety of jobs and got rejected again and again. But, she never gave up, and she used to believe in what she did until one day, she got a job that she enjoyed although it was with a small company. She could go to university, buy things that she wanted, and support her family financially after saving her money for a year. My mom worked in the morning, went to college in the evening, and did her homework late at night. Her life was difficult as she didn’t have enough time to sleep. However, she organized everything well. Now, she could make savings for herself as well as for my brothers and I.

Being a mom, she gets up at 4 am every day, prepares breakfast, and works all day at a company. She has been working for many years. Although she gets tired, she keeps working hard to finish her busy daily schedule. She prefers to do things on her own rather than relying on others. She uses her time wisely and likes to spend her holiday with meditation and cleaning the house. My mom’s life experiences have encouraged me to study hard, work as hard as I can, and believe in myself to overcome challenges in life.
