The significance of homework has been a topic that is discussed a lot these days. While some people agree with students getting homework every day, others disagree. I am going to explore both sides of this subject and provide my perspective on it. The objective of homework is to provide students with an opportunity to review what they have learned in class. Firstly, getting homework every day can help students remember what they learned in class so that they don't just learn in class but then forget it right away once they step into their bedroom. Secondly, doing homework every day can develop independent studying and thinking skills. Both skills can help students practice studying without a teacher's help. Lastly, students can practice and develop time management skills. This skill is important for students so they can use their time more effectively and efficiently.
Despite the benefits of getting homework every day for students, there are a lot of issues it leads to. Firstly, students may feel overwhelmed doing homework every single day. This is a serious problem because it can affect their mental and physical health. Secondly, if students are spending most of their time, including weekends, on homework and assignments, it can disrupt their social life. It is important to remember that a student's social life is as important as their academic life. Getting an overload of homework can create an imbalance in their life. Lastly, homework might not be an effective way for students to learn. If there is a student who has trouble learning by doing homework, this will not be efficient for them and will just cause burnout.
Despite the advantages of homework in enhancing students' learning and skill development, there are also a lot of drawbacks resulting from assigning homework on a daily basis. I believe that students should not receive homework every day. This does not imply that students should not receive any homework assignments, but they should be given in moderation and combined with other types of tasks, such as projects.
