My Preparation for an Internship as a Senior High School Student

Preparing for my internship has been both exciting and nerve-wracking. I know this opportunity will give me valuable real-world experience, so I want to make the most of it.

First, I researched the companies I was interested in. Learning about their mission and work culture helped me tailor my resume and cover letter to fit their expectations. I highlighted my academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and skills that might be useful for the role.

Since communication and teamwork are important in any workplace, I also worked on improving my soft skills. I participated in group projects and volunteer activities to gain experience collaborating with others. To prepare for interviews, I practiced answering common questions and built my confidence in speaking professionally.

Once I secured my internship, I made sure to understand the role and the expectations. I familiarized myself with workplace etiquette, planned professional outfits, and reminded myself to always be punctual and respectful.
