Cupcake and Doughnut Decorating Day

Monday, 29th September 2025 was no ordinary day at Harapan Bangsa Preschool it was a day full of sweets and sprinkles. Our little ones had the chance to get creative in the most delicious way possible during our activity. This special activity was designed to give our students a hands-on experience that combined fun, creativity, and learning all wrapped up in a sweet treat they could decorate themselves.

Each child received their own cupcake and doughnut, along with a variety of toppings to choose from colorful sprinkles, chocolate paste and biscuit crumbs.  With guidance from their teachers, they got right to work piping, spreading, sprinkling, and giggling along the way.

Some children carefully planned their designs, while others went freestyle and every creation was unique. Whether it was a smiley face made of chocolate chips or a mountain of rainbow sprinkles, the joy on their faces said it all. 

While it looked like just a fun snack activity, it was actually a great opportunity for the children to: Strengthen their fine motor skills, learn about colors and textures, practice following simple steps, boost their confidence and creativity. Most importantly, they had fun doing it and that’s what learning at Harapan Bangsa is all about!

A big thank you to our amazing teachers for making the day run so smoothly, and to the parents for always supporting our school activities. We’re proud of our little chefs and their wonderful creations and yes, they helped clean up too!
