Sekolah Harapan Bangsa held an event called the “Youth Oath Ceremony” on Tuesday, 28 October 2025. The dress code was to use batik or traditional clothes, and each class had to make the best booth and conventional foods according to the culture they picked for this event. Each class also had to pick two representatives, a girl and a boy, to do the fashion show for this event.
Before the event, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa did a ceremony where all students joined to commemorate the Youth Oath. After the ceremony, the students had a break to prepare for the fashion show and booth. The fashion show was held on the auditorium stage, with each class again picking two representatives to do the fashion show. Each class did so well on the stage with a great performance and cheering. For the fashion show, grade 8B deservingly won the first prize, with 7C winning second, and 9C winning the third prize. Sekolah Harapan Bangsa also gave awards to students who worked hard to be the best students in English and Chinese.
The second event for that day was the booth; each class made amazing and creative booths for the cultures they picked. One of the examples was my class, 7A, that made traditional food for the Banten culture, such as laksa and kue cucur. The class that won the best booth was 7C with their incredible presentation about their culture.
Around 12 pm, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa held activities for students to play traditional games such as congklak, engklek, etc…
The event ended as a spectacular and memorable day, sure, some lost and won, but personally, it was an amazing experience for me and my class.
