What comes to your mind when I say the phrase “a great leader”? Being a leader is one thing, but being a great one requires certain qualities that make them stand out in a group.
Some might think of presidents, principals, or even their parents. They are all considered leaders by society, but what makes them truly great? A great leader is not defined merely by their roles but rather through their actions and ability to lead a group of individuals. A great leader does not simply give orders or view their team as a whole. Instead, they analyze each individual's characteristics and try to understand them.
You can be a leader if you possess the most fundamental quality of a great leader: empathy. When you see a leader, you often notice them making eye contact and interacting with others. This is their way of showing acknowledgment and empathy. You often see this in action when presidential candidates give speeches.
A great leader leads their team with courage, optimism, honesty, and, of course, excellent leadership skills. They are selfless and prioritize their people above themselves. They are able to turn a rough sketch into a beautiful masterpiece with calmness and bravery.
