Nowadays there is much concern over bullying amongst children and peer pressure to do activities that are harmful.
There is no universal definition of bullying, however, it is widely agreed upon that bullying is a subcategory of aggressive behavior characterized by the following three minimum criteria: (1) hostile intent, (2) imbalance of power, and (3) repetition over a period of time. Bullying may thus be defined as the activity of repeated, aggressive behavior intended to hurt another individual, physically, mentally or emotionally.
We need to teach our children positive behaviours to say NO.

If you suspect your child has engaged in this dangerous behavior, you need to take quick action. Talk to your child about the real dangers of the choking game, place importance on the risks that outweigh the moment;

Above all, help your child learn how to resist peer pressure, enjoy interests and passions and make sure your tween understands that you are always available to talk should your tween need a good listener.
