Holiday is basically a time for people to relax and have fun. After days of working, everyone need a holiday once in a while. For students however, there are 2 sides of holiday. A holiday that will be remembered and enjoy or a whole day doing homework and projects. some people began to wonder if homework actually helps improving student’s skill in learning. Is it though?. Well the answer to that is actually yes and no. it’s a yes because some students do improve by doing homework. And it’s a no because apparently, only a small amounts of students actually show improvement. The rest is basically stressed out in a day that they should be enjoying. I am not making any of this up, it’s a fact. And now I am going to give you my own opinion in such case. First of all, it does make sense in a lot of way if you think about it. The guy that didn’t do it will probably do it again. And the guy that’s always is diligent will always submit it on time. This also bring my second reason, some students will copy a book from a classmate and copy the whole thing to his book and still get an ‘A’ for doing nothing. This makes cheating feel like an everyday thing. So that’s my opinion on homework. But let’s not forget another thing that students (usually boys) do in the holiday, yes I am talking about gaming. Not casual gaming like candy crush, I am talking about game that’s considered to be e-sports (for examples : Counter Strike, DOTA 2, Point Blank ,ETC). e-sports in my eye is a unique thing that only some people can understand what it truly means if they experience it. E-Sports are basically video games. But however, E-sports are actually pretty similar to normal sports like football and basketball. People that love E-sports is basically the same to people that love soccer (except the athletic part). E-sports also have a professional scene like professional soccer. It got teams, most of them are sponsored by big companies (For examples: Asus, Logitech, Razer), there are professional players that make a living out of playing video games. Some parents don’t understand how does this video games are actually a passion that’s just different from the others. After all of that, you should probably understand what E-sports are. Now, let us ask ourselves a question. Are Video games good to be played on holiday? It’s actually not good to stay and play the video games all the time. If you are a gamer, do you know that professional players actually do a lot of exercise daily in the gym ? they know that it’s not good to stay and play for a whole day. That’s why they try to go to the gym if they have the time. But it’s not okay to took away videogames from students. Just make sure they do their projects and homework first before they are going to play videogames.
