SOCIAL MEDIA PHENOMENA

Social Media, we teenagers all around the world know about the social media phenomena. Kids, teenagers, even adults use social media now days, Social Media connects people all around the world, it’s easier to contact and keep in touch with the people that we want to. Not just to contact people, we can also use it to earn money. For example online shop, people now days open a lot of online shop through Instagram.

Instagram, everyone know what it is,was made in 2010. Twitter, was made in 2006, 10 years ago. The Facebook was founded in united states in the year of 2004, and a lot of other social media. And now look how big it is right now. It’s a big deal now. When you look around your surroundings, you can see in every corner people always look down to use their phone, and of course most of them are using their social media. it just feel like we won't survive a day without it. It’s very addictive.

And as for myself, i only have a few social media. I have Facebook that i rarely use, twitter that i don’t use anymore, whats app that I only use to contact my parents, we chat that i use for emergency and snapchat that I already delete it and not to mention BBM that i also already delete it. As for the social media that I always use everyday are LINE and Instagram.

My experience in using social media is very normal. I was an unsocial girl who only have BBM as a social media, then my friend made me a twitter account. For the first time i thought it was a bother, but time passes by and i began to like twitter. And when my followers reached 70, I was very happy. and it connects people. Then my other friend made me my Instagram account. at first I was shy to post any picture in Instagram, but when I saw other people post pictures, I became braver to enter the social media world.

Social media has become a big part in our life of these past few years, It also has it’s bad and good sides. Social media can be really helpful but it also can be really deadly. Lots of accident happens because of social media. For example people know each other through Facebook or other sites and when they meet up it just turn out to be a crime, always end up kidnaping, murder or even sexual harassment. That’s why we need to be careful about using social media. And it’s not just that, people begin not to care about their surroundings because they are all to busy with their social media.

To prevent those bad thing happen you must not trust people easily. And you have to try to see how beautiful the world is, not just looking down to your phone all day.
