[:en]On the 28th of April, we had our very first visit to Bakti Luhur (house for special needs children). We departed from school at 9.00 am because we didn’t want to get caught in traffic. We were a group of around 20 people – both from Junior High’s student council and Senior High’s student council – along with our student council guardians. We used two school buses for the trip and spent our time trying to control our excitement. We had already prepared several activities for the event beforehand.

When we arrived at Bakti Luhur we were ushered by the head of the house to the place where we would hold the event. We were then given time to practice the event whilst waiting for the kids to arrive. We practiced for a while and when the kids arrived we all ate lunch together while bonding with one another. After eating lunch together, we started the event with an ice-breaking activity which was hosted by Abdiel and Bea. By the end of that event, we learned each others’ names.

Afterward, we proceeded with a few games and a drama by the Junior High students which was based on the story Cinderella. The kids listened to the story and answered the questions given to them about the drama with the correct answers. Then we gave the gifts that we prepared for them while we were planning for the event. They were so happy and we all played with each other. Sadly we had to go home afterward and it was a tough goodbye but we all were smiling at the end. I personally definitely enjoyed the experience and wish to do it again. It was such a rewarding and giving event for both us and the new friends we made there.

 [:zh]于2018年4月28日（星期六），现代山庄民望学校中学部的学生参观了Bhakti Luhur孤儿院。中学生的代表包括了初高中部的学生会成员。本次的访问成为现代山庄民望学校2018年学生会的其中一项项目。访问目的是要与那些不幸的朋友们分享关爱，尤其是对那些有特殊需求的朋友们。

活动开始于下午1时至3时。活动开始的时候，于下午1时大家与孤儿院的朋友一起用餐。其他的活动本来就是很简单的活动。节目开始的时候，初高中部的学生会代表采取了有趣的方式进行一项自我介绍的游戏。接下来，展现了他们已准备的表演。第一个的节目就是一起边唱边玩，由高中生主持节目。之后，表演灰姑娘的短剧。

除了唱歌及短剧外，我们也准备了礼物给那些能够回答与短剧有关的问题。接下来，所有的学生集合成几个小组，小组成员了包括了几位来自民望学校的学生以及几位孤儿院的孩子。在小组里，大家与孤儿院的孩子互相认识及一起玩游戏。有的小组分享故事，学习阅读，一起参加各种各样的游戏。于下午3时，民望学校的学生离开了该孤儿院，带着美好的经历。[:id]Pada hari Sabtu, 28 April 2018, perwakilan murid-murid SMP dan SMA Harapan Bangsa pergi mengunjungi Panti Asuhan Bhakti Luhur. Perwakilan murid tersebut terdiri atas anggota OSIS SMP dan SMA Harapan Bangsa. Kunjungan ini merupakan salah satu program yang dimiliki oleh OSIS SMP dan SMA Harapan Bangsa periode 2018. Kegiatan kunjungan ini bertujuan untuk berbagi dan belajar bersama dengan teman-teman yang berkekurangan khususnya teman-teman yang berkebutuhan khusus.

Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada pukul 13.00 sampai dengan 15.00. Kegiatan diawali dengan makan bersama dengan anak-anak di panti asuhan pada pukul 13.00 setelah mereka pulang sekolah. Kegiatan lainnya adalah kegiatan yang sederhana. Murid-murid OSIS SMP dan SMA membuka acara dengan sebuah permainan perkenalan dan dilanjutkan dengan tugas penampilan yang sudah direncanakan. Yang pertama adalah kegiatan bermain sambil bernyanyj yang dipimpin oleh siswa-siswi SMA dan diikuti dengan drama Cinderella.

Selain kegiatan bernyanyi dan berdrama, kami juga memberikan hadiah untuk beberapa anak yang dapat menjawab pertanyaan berdasarkan drama yang sudah ditampilkan. Setelah itu siswa-siswi berkumpul menjadi beberapa kelompok yang beranggotakan beberapa siswa dari Sekolah Harapan Bangsa dan beberapa anak dari panti asuhan. Dalam kelompok tersebut siswa-siswi belajar untuk mengenal anak-anak di panti asuhan dan bermain bersama. Beberapa kelompok bercerita, belajar membaca, dan juga bermain dengan berbagai macam permainan yang sudah siswa-siswi kumpulkan. Pada pukul 15.00 siswa dan siswi SHB pergi meninggalkan panti asuhan dengan membawa pengalaman berharga dari program tersebut.
