A seminar with the topic “Puberty-My Body, My Boundaries” was held by Harapan Bangsa Modernhill Elementary School on Thursday, January 29, 2026 for students in grades 4-6. This seminar aims to equip students in grades 4-6 with knowledge and introduction to changes in body parts, personal boundaries, and the importance of maintaining their bodies and themselves safely and responsibly. This seminar was delivered by two professional psychologists who were invited to provide seminar materials related to the topic in a coherent, educational, and communicative manner according to the developmental stage of the students' ages. The two speakers for the seminar were Ms.Nathania Bianca, M.Psi. and Mr. Adib Setiawan, S.Psi., M.Psi.
The seminar was delivered interactively, with separate sessions for boys and girls. This was done to ensure the students felt comfortable asking questions and discussing the concept of personal boundaries safely and openly with the speaker. The seminar began with a presentation and explanation of body parts, changes in these parts, how to respond to these changes, and what they should know and do to protect their bodies.
Through this seminar, students in grades 4-6 are expected to not only gain knowledge, but also strengthen their character, self-confidence, and awareness of body parts and their changes, and learn to maintain and respect their boundaries as individuals and towards others. We, the teachers, hope that this activity can be important knowledge and provisions for students in grades 4-6 in responding to their physical growth and changes, their character and personality as a young generation who has self-confidence and is aware of changes in their bodies as they grow older, become independent individuals, and are able to take care of themselves safely and appropriately in their social environment.
