Tracing the Path of Knowledge at Pelita Desa: 

Beautiful, Exciting, and Memorable!

SD Harapan Bangsa Modernhill organized an “Outlearning” excursion to Pelita Desa. This year’s program spanned two days: Wednesday, October 21, 2026, and Thursday, October 22, 2026. Through this activity, students in grades 1–3 had the opportunity to explore a natural environment—one vastly different from what they encounter in their daily lives—by navigating paths, traversing rocky and uneven terrain, overcoming various obstacles, and enjoying authentic, traditional local cuisine.

Through the various activities mentioned above, students at SD Harapan Bangsa Modernhill learn and practice exploring their environment, exercising independence, developing communication skills with their peers, and collaborating with others. Furthermore, all students have the opportunity to learn how to face challenges, solve problems, build self-confidence, and cultivate a sense of responsibility toward themselves and those around them. These outdoor learning activities provide the students with fresh experiences, encouraging them to open up and engage more actively throughout the program designed by Pelita Desa.

This Outlearning activity is part of the vision, mission, and commitment of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill to implement holistic education—one that focuses not merely on academic achievement, but also on character development and life skills. Through these hands-on learning experiences, students at the Harapan Bangsa Modernhill elementary school are expected to gain new knowledge and valuable experiences, strengthen their sense of togetherness, and apply positive values ​​in their daily lives.
