What lessons should students learn at school?

Education plays a huge role in everyone's life from kids to elders. This is why many people have different opinions regarding the subjects we should learn. There are people who believe that every lesson should be mastered. However, there are also people who disagree with that opinion and instead think students should study whatever subject they like. Each side has their own reasoning as to why they have that opinion. Here are some of the reasons for both sides.

When a student is forced to study and master every subject by someone which could be their parents, teachers or even society, they will improve academically. But an outcome of forcing them to study subjects they might not necessarily like can lead them to overstudy it. There have been many cases of scholars that often end up with stress, headaches and depression due to over studying. 

On the other hand, Letting students study subjects they are only interested in can help give them more motivation to study and they wouldn't feel forced to study the specific subject. Which is a much safer choice for students. However, they would have average or even low grades in other subjects.  

In conclusion, there are many strong reasons behind people's different opinion on a student's education. In my opinion, subjects that are taught by schools are really important for our future work life, so if the child wants to learn every subject then it's a good thing. But we should respect kids who want to learn subjects they are only interested in to avoid any unwanted outcomes. Therefore, I think that it's alright for us to have our own opinions but instead of deciding things for them, we should just respect and encourage them for whatever path they choose in the end.
