By Jason Martanto (Grade 9 A , level A2)
well, this is it i guess…. the time has come.
3 years ago I was sad to leave my primary school friends, and once more those sad memories will be repeated.
I am currently sitting in the Grade 9 seat and I am about to graduate. It’s really satisfying to graduate to senior high school but some of my friends are going to move to another school and I might never see them again. 🙁
Lets talk about the SHB school life. Well, to be honest with you guys its hard. The challenges, homework, and sometimes the problem is yourself. SHB is different from my old school (sorry, my old school :D), and the differences are the student’s creativity and the ways of teaching. I was really “weird “when I first went to SHB. In SHB I not only study math and science, like what I thought, but I saw the world from a different angle. I guess I never knew how the world actually works. I learnt deeper in my religion thanks to the Fellowship classes! If you guys don’t know what it is, it’s basically a Friday prayer. I usually don’t pray much, but thanks to the fellowship ,I felt something new and that feeling made me want to pray more and say a big “THANKS“ to our creator.
The best part of SHB for me are the programs and events such as: outing, homestay, funbike, AFC (art for charity), ESL day, Mandarin day, and many others. These programs are made to be useful and fun. My favourite program is the AFC because it’s about helping other people with donations while entertaining the audience. The student council or OSIS arranges most of these programs. For the junior high school students, studying is hard, trying to find your own way of studying. Sometimes, by trying another way to study, you can find a better way of studying the lessons to make it easier. This is according to my experience studying.
These are my experiences during my SHB junior high school years. I hope this can be useful for all the future students. THANKS FOR READING !
Special message :
For my friends that will leave SHB, THANKS for being a great friend for me and I wish for the best of luck to all of you ,FAREWELL…..
