[:en]Cooperation is the process of having two or more organisms working together to reach the same end. It allows the group to work together for everyone’s benefit. Everyone has limited time and intellectual resources. Working together, or rather cooperating, would make them be able to exchange knowledge and have the job done more efficiently.
Life after school holds lots of interactions, whether you like it or not. That being said, you’d have to be able to work with the people around you. Being able to communicate properly is a skill to be learned which means that school’s the best place to learn cooperation. Group assignments wouldn’t get done if a person chooses not to cooperate. In school, that would only cost you a bad grade but in the real world, you could be losing your job. Same goes for disagreements. Resolving disagreements requires people from both sides to cooperate and come to a conclusion. In school, disagreements are easy to resolve but in the real world, they can lead to expensive lawsuits.
Not only is cooperation important at school and work, cooperation is required to maintain healthy family relationships as well. Everyone would need to learn to respect each others space and belongings, willingly do chores, communicate well and learn to share. Without cooperation, healthy family relationships wouldn’t exist.
In conclusion, cooperation doesn’t only get things done faster, it keeps the world balanced.
