Semester Reflection

My impression about Sekolah Harapan Bangsa after one month studying is very good. Sekolah Harapan Bangsa has many facilities to support our studies. The facilities that SHB has include a gymnasium, a basketball court, 3 laboratories (chemistry, Physics, Biology), lockers, a canteen, an auditorium, a computer lab, and many classes. These facilities are very useful for learning activities. One thing I like the most is SHB really embraces pluralism as it has 5 religions studies.

The teachers here are very kind. The way they teach us is very good, which makes us easy to understand the lessons. The teachers very care about us and are all easy going. SHB has 3 different language lessons, Mandarin, English and Indonesian. The school implements K13 (the new curriculum, which focuses on student’s active learning). SHB has a very attractive learning system that makes learning more fun. The students here are very good and discipline. In this school they shape our character very well, and therefore, our friendship with one another is very good, the friends here are very kind and caring.

Last but not least, there is one thing that I always look forward to! As, SHB has three main goals to build: our Knowledge, Faith, and Character, every year school does a school trip to different interesting places like Lembang, Yogyakarta, Malang and others! These trips are to nurture the student’s soft skills like leadership, spirituality, teamwork, public speaking and cultural awareness.
