Now I'm in grade 8 and it's very nice. I enjoy my class and my classmates. Even though the lessons are kind of hard, we still can get through them. When I first started 8th grade, i thought it would be so hard that I didn’t think I could get through it.
On the first day of 8th grade we already started studying. This was different from 7th grade. We had the Student Orientation Week. There we were introduced to the school environment, we played games, and did many more things. But, it was different in 8th grade and I think it was because we are going to graduate from 9th grade soon. So, we need to be prepared to work harder and start sooner in 8th grade.
The things I like about being in 8th grade is that we are not the youngest student in school anymore. We have the 7th graders as the new students so it doesn't feel weird when we go to school. We face tests with more confidence now, because we already studied a lot in 7th grade. So, things are easier this year.
The thing that I don't really like is that we can't do retests for the mid semester and the final tests. This is because we have to be prepared for the 9th grade and the national exam later on. If we fail the national exam, we can't repeat. So, we have to practice more this year. When we fail, we can't repeat the tests.
The memory i won’t ever forget of grade 8 is when the whole class, along with Mr. Hadi, my homeroom teacher, hung out together. We watched a horror movie and took a picture at the studio. I still have that picture.
