Community service or social action is an activity that is carried out to help or show our concern for the community around us. The Covid-19 pandemic, which we are experiencing at this time, does not hinder our sense of empathy and concern for the community, for this reason, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill primary held community service activities on Tuesday-Thursday, 12-14 January 2021 online.
This year’s community service activity takes the theme “Caring for Health Workers”, this is adapted to our conditions during the pandemic that we are experiencing, through this activity it is hoped that all students will have an awareness of the importance of implementing health protocols and can still provide support and attention to all health workers. who are struggling to help treat all patients affected by Covid-19.
The event was opened with a prayer together followed by an explanation of the importance of community service and a discussion about Covid-19 with Ms. Vernanda a health worker who has also been infected with Covid-19. The discussion was very interactive, all students were also active in discussing and asking questions through the chat box. In closing, Ms. Fani, the nurse at Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Primary School, again gave tips on how to maintain ones health.
