Yuki was strolling around the supermarket, looking at mostly the savory snacks trying to resist the urge of getting 20 packs. She was shopping for her older brother and a lot of helpers in their house, and of course herself. She has won fighting her urge to buy snacks and went along to the dairy section. Where her favorite drink was available.
Milk.
Happily walking towards the cold place, Yuki went straight for the milk only to be met by another pair of hands. Shivered, at the pair of hands that was like wo times bigger than hers, Yuki slowly looked up the towering figure. Their eyes met it was a moment of silence between the two.
“RIYUU IS THAT YOU?” Yuki shouted hysterically.
Flinched at the sudden scream, Riyuu finally replied “Yes, it is me Riyuu long time no see, Yuki.”
When she heard that reply, they were already embracing each other not to mention the height difference that changed drastically between the two.
They were best friends that were separated a long time ago. The last time Yuki saw Riyuu was at the airport going to America, since his family got a better job and started to move out. before all of that they used to hang out together in each other’s house having sleepovers, pool parties, play in the playground together. Ever since they both got separated, they missed each other badly, they weren't allowed to have mobile phones yet so they pretty much lost contact of one another.
Snapping back to reality, they both were ecstatic by meeting each other. But then Riyuu started to tease Yuki who used to be the one to tower over him and kept teasing him about his height and everything. Yuki obviously embarrassed at the teasing put her hand over his mouth to shut him off.
“Shush, none of that matters I can't grow any taller hmph”, Yuki said after letting go of his mouth.
Riyuu giggled at the comment, then gave his phone to Yuki, she took it then also gave him hers. They exchanged they phone numbers and gave each other’s phone back. After the happy reunion they both shopped together to catch up on their lives and what has happened from the past years.
“We should hang out together like we used to do”, they accidentally said at the same time.
They laughed together and kept planning on things they should do for the upcoming days.
