Are Raising Pets Worth It?

Raising pets may be a dream for some people. Pets are cute and lovely in their eyes. However, for some people, pets are annoying to keep and they cost lots of money. Two of my friends gave comments about raising pets, one of them said that having a pet can be fun. Meanwhile, my other friend told me the opposite opinion, she thinks that to have a pet, you need to have a thick wallet. I agree with my first friend who thinks it will be fun to have a pet.

First of all, having a pet is not always expensive. It mostly depends on what pet we raise. For example, raising a pet turtle is cheaper than raising a dog, since turtles can eat common vegetables that we eat daily. Secondly, I think raising a pet is really fun because we will have a loyal friend to play with anytime. Moreover, we need to be more responsible and disciplined, which is an important skill to have in real life. Since we need to be timely when it comes to taking our pets for a walk, and/or feeding them, etc. In conclusion, from my perspective, having a pet is extremely fun and gives us, the pet owners, lots of benefits.
