SHB FEST 2023: R2K

Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill has recently held their first SHB FEST in 3 years after the pandemic. The event lasted 4 days starting from the 8th of February until the 11th. The event was dedicated to the children suffering from cancer at Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia. Competitions such as basketball, english debate, esports, and dance were conducted with attendance from lots of schools such as Sekolah Al Jabr, Sekolah Al Azhar BSD, Sekolah Charitas, Sekolah Pahoa, and so much more.

Throughout the event, all Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill students participated in the competitions or became committees. The competitions that happened from 8 February to 10 February were held successfully. A lot of fun and memorable things happened throughout the competitions, such as Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill’s middle school basketball team that won 3rd place in the basketball competition, supporters from other schools that made the event more festive with their cheers, and lastly, the bazaar that sold various items that students enjoyed.

The event closed off on the 11th with a sold-out charity concert that had performance from Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill students, Raisa Putri, and of course the main guest star, HIVI! that successfully made the crowd sing throughout the 3+ hour long concert. Donations for the cancer foundation were opened throughout the concert and it successfully garnered more than Rp55.000.000 of donations.

Nonetheless, SHB FEST 2023 was one of the most fun events that not only Sekolah Harapan Bangsa students had enjoyed, but also people from outside the school. Students and teachers involved in the event definitely learned a lot from making this event successful.
