Jakarta, 1 October 2022 — Commemorating the Sanctity of Pancasila (Hapsak) in 2022 is a matter of pride and joy for the Indonesian people, because Indonesia was able to recover faster and rise stronger from the global crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Nadiem Anwar Makarim, in his speech invited the entire Indonesian nation to make the values of Pancasila as the guidance and purpose of the Indonesian people’s daily life.
“The magic of Pancasila lies in how we make the values in it the guide and purpose of our daily life as Indonesians. We need to work together to create educational units and cultural spaces that are safe and comfortable, which prioritize the values of inclusivity, tolerance, and freedom from violence,” said the Minister of Education and Research and Technology in his 2022 Hapsak speech which was broadcast on the KEMENDIKBUD RI Youtube channel, on Friday night (30/09).
The Minister of Education and Culture also said that the magic of Pancasila lies in the joint commitment of the Indonesian people to realizing true independence. “Freedom for all Indonesian people to study and to work,” he said.
For this reason, continued the Minister of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Education and Culture has committed to continue to present transformations that are always in line with Bung Karno’s message in his speech The Birth of Pancasila. “On the five foundations of Pancasila, we will establish the state of Indonesia, eternal and eternal,” he said.
In international forums such as the G20 and the Transforming Education Summit and MONDIACULT organized by the United Nations, said the Minister of Education and Research and Technology, Indonesia has introduced noble values which are the identity of the Indonesian nation, such as gotong royong, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and Pancasila.
“We will continue to promote these noble values which are our strengths on the global stage through the Freedom to Learn and Freedom to Culture movements, which we continue to encourage and strengthen together,” he said.
Through the breakthrough of the Independent Curriculum which prioritizes project-based learning including the project to strengthen the Pancasila Student profile, continued the Minister of Education and Research and Technology, Indonesian children are encouraged to become lifelong learners who believe, fear God Almighty, and have noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning , and creative.
In addition, Indonesian artists and humanists are currently increasingly motivated to work in a spirit of mutual cooperation with the breakthrough of the cultural endowment fund and the first cultural channel in Indonesia. Pancasila Sanctity Day Commemoration Ceremony 2022
Still in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2022 Pancasila Sanctity Day (Hapsak) commemoration ceremony was held in a hybrid and solemn manner while still observing health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at the Pancasila Sakti Monument, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta, on Saturday morning (1 /10).
This year, 137 students came from four schools in Jakarta, namely 34 students from Lubang Buaya 13 Elementary School, 34 students from SMPN 49 Jakarta, 34 students from SMAN 48 Jakarta, and 35 students from SMAN 113 Jakarta also participated in the Hapsak 2022 ceremony. The theme This year’s Hapsak commemoration is Rise and Move with Pancasila.
The 2022 Pancasila Sacred Day commemoration ceremony was chaired directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo as the Ceremony Inspector, with the Chairperson of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), Bambang Soesatyo as reader of the Pancasila text, Chairman of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD), La Nyalla Mattalitti as reader The opening of the 1945 Constitution, Chairperson of the People’s Representative Council (DPR), Puan Maharani as the reader and signing of the Pledge of Allegiance to Pancasila, and the Minister of Religion, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas as a prayer reciter.
Also attending offline at the Hapsak 2022 ceremony were 216 officials consisting of ministers and leaders of Non-ministerial Government Institutions, deputy chairman of the RI MPR, deputy chairman of the DPR RI, deputy chairman of the RI DPD, chairman of the RI DPR Commission/Agency, chairman of the RI DPD committee, PATI TNI, 3 Star POLRI, and a family of heroes. After the ceremony, the President together with Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and leaders of high state institutions who were present at the location briefly visited the Pancasila Sakti Monument followed by watching the choir and orchestra from students of SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong, Bogor.
