[:en]Pope Fransiskus declared 2016 as the Great Jubileum year of God’s divine. Therefore the theme of Ash Wednesday for this year is, “THE DIVINE MERCY THAT DELIBERATES”. The theme implies an encouragement for all Catholic people around the world to forgive others as our Father in heaven that gives mercy upon all sinners and to be generous like Him.

Catholic students of SHB from Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary, High School, Cambridge and also their parents and families were invited to celebrate the Ash Wednesday in the holly mass which was held at SHB gymnasium on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. The mass was led by Rm. Vincencius Suratmo, SJ.

In his preaching, the priest explained about the meaning in ritual of ‘ashes blessing’ and told the story of some saints from the bible who experienced the deliberation due to God’s divine mercy. From the Old Testament, the priest took an example of Isaiah who was stutter in his speech, but then he was highly spirited in proclaiming God’s divine after he repented and purified by the divine Himself. From the New Testament, the priest talked about Paul as an example. Before, Paul eagerly chased and caught the Christ’s followers, then he repented after his personal meeting with Jesus on his way to Damascus. Paul experienced God’s divine mercy that deliberates, that turned him into an apostle for all nations.

From the two examples, the priest encouraged the congregations, from children to adults, to always believe in God’s divine mercy. God is grace and generous, and Catholic people must learn to be generous and forgiving as our Father.

The priest also reminded about the terms on fasting and abstinence, as follows;

To fast and abstain from meat on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 and on Good Friday, March 25, 2016. On the other Fridays in Lenten season, only to abstain.

According to the new Catholic church Law, fasting is an obligatory to those who are 18 years old until they reach the age of early 60s.

To fast means Catholic people can eat only one complete meal during the day.

To abstain is an obligatory to those who are 14 years old and older.

To abstain means; every family / group / individual can choose and decide their own things to abstain from, such as meat, salt, being consumptive or cigarette.

To support the repentance action, we are also encouraged to participate in the movement of abstaining from plastic and styrofoam.

May in this divine year, Catholic people will be the agents of God’s graciousness and generousity. May we all be generous like Him.[:zh]方济各已定了2016年成为神圣慈悲的特别禧年。所以今年的圣灰星期三的主题为“被释放的天父怜悯”。本主题引领全世界的天主教徒要如同天父宽恕人的罪过，并如同天父那么慈悲。

于2016年2月10日(星期三),民望学校所有的天主教徒，从幼儿园，小学，初中，高中直至剑桥生和家长们，到民望学校的体育馆来参与圣灰星期三的感恩祭。本感恩祭由Vincentius Suryatmo,SJ神父来主持。

感恩祭进行的时候，神父说关于接受圣灰的意义并解释在圣经里的几位著名人士。他们就因为有天父的怜悯获得释放。在旧约圣经里的口吃的以赛亚，忏悔和被天父的怜悯净化后变成一位很火烈宣告天父怜悯的一位人士。在新约圣经里的保罗，刚开始的时候那么坚持地追查基督徒。但是在他的大马士革的旅程，遇到耶稣后就获得天父的怜悯已被释放。之后就成为国民的使徒。

从那两位人士，神父引领所有在座的观众要一直相信天父的仁慈， 宽恕罪过的天父，慈悲的天父。天主教徒要如同天父一样慈悲，要如同天父宽恕罪恶。

之后，Vincent神父传达关于2016年的禁欲和禁食，如下：

• 2016年2月10日（圣灰星期三）与2016年3月25日（圣周五）的禁欲和禁食。其余在复活节前的星期五仅进行禁欲而已。
• 按照新的天主教法，有义务进行禁食的教徒是针对所有的成年人直至60岁的教徒。所指的成年人是18岁以上的教徒。
• 禁食的意识就是1天仅吃饱一次。
• 有义务进行禁欲的教徒是：所有14岁以上的教徒。
• 所指的禁欲是：所有家庭/组合/私人选择并决定要禁欲吃肉，或禁欲吃盐，或禁欲抽烟。
• 为了实现生态转换，我们被邀请参与禁欲塑料和发泡胶使用的行动。

愿在本怜悯的年里，天主教徒能成为天父的怜悯代表并成为天父的慈悲心代表者。因此，希望大家能如同天父那么的慈悲。[:id]Tahun 2016 ditetapkan oleh Paus Fransiskus sebagai Tahun Yubileum Luar Biasa Kerahiman Ilahi.Maka tema Rabu Abu tahun ini adalah ;”KERAHIMAN ALLAH YANG MEMERDEKAKAN.Tema ini mengarahkan umat katolik seluruh dunia untuk mengampuni sesamanya seperti Allah Bapa mengampuni manusia yang berdosa dan murah hati seperti Allah Bapa.

Siswa/ i  katolik ,dari Tk,SD,SMP,SMA sampai  Cambridge dan  orang tua siswa / i Sekolah Harapan Bangsa berkesempatan merayakan misa Rabu Abu bersama Romo Vincentius Suryatmo,SJ. Misa diadakan di Gymnasium Sekolah Harapan Bangsa, pada hari Rabu 10 Februari 2016.

Dalam misa Romo menerangkan makna penerimaan Abu dan menjelaskan beberapa tokoh dalam Kitab Suci yang mengalami kemerdekaan karena mengalami kerahiman Allah Bapa. Dari Perjanjian Lama Romo mengambil contoh  tokoh Yesaya yang gagap bicara,tapi kemudian jadi berapi-api mewartakan kerahiman Allah setelah ia bertobat dan disucikan oleh Kerahiman Allah.Dari Perjanjian Baru Romo mengambil contoh  Paulus Sebagai modelnya. Paulus yang semula begitu giat dan gigih mengejar dan menangkap para pengikut Kristus,kemudian bertobat setelah mengalami perjumpaan dengan Yesus dalam perjalanannya menuju Damsyik. Paulus mengalami kerahiman Allah yang memerdekakannya dalam diri Yesus Kristus yang dijumpainya itu. Kemudian dia jadi rasul untuk para bangsa.

Dari kedua tokoh itu Romo mengarahkan umat yang hadir,baik itu anak-anak SHB dan orang tua,untuk selalu mengimani Allah yang maharahim, Allah yang selalu mengampuni, Allah yang murah hati.Umat katolik harus murah hati seperti Bapa, harus mengampuni seperti Bapa.

Selanjutnya Romo Vincent menyampaikan peraturan Pantang dan Puasa 2016 sebagai berikut :

• Berpantang dan berpuasa hari Rabu, 10 Februari 2016 dan hari Jumat Suci, 25 Maret 2016.Hari Jumat lainnya dalam masa Parpaskah hanya berpantang saja.
• Yang diwajibkan berpuasa menurut Hukum Gereja Katolik yang baru adalah semua yang sudah dewasa sampai awal 60 tahun. Yang disebut dewasa adalah orang yang genap berusia 18 tahun.
• Puasa artinya: makan kenyang 1 x sehari.
• Yang diwajibkan berpantang : semua yang sudah berumur 14 tahun ke atas.
• Pantang yang dimaksud di sini : tiap keluarga/kelompok/perorangan memilih dan menentukan sendiri, misalnya : pantang daging, pantang garam, pantang jajan, pantang rokok.
• Dalam rangka mewujudkan pertobatan ekologis, kita diajak untuk ambil bagian dalam gerakan pantang plastik dan Styrofoam.

Semoga dengan tahun karahiman ini,umat katolik akan menjadi agen kerahiman dan kemurahan hati Allah Bapa.Maka bermurah hatilah seperti Allah Bapa,[:]
