Sun Go Kong Meets Rama-Shinta

On Saturday, April 22nd Sekolah Harapan Bangsa (SHB) Modernhill held the school production activity in the form of “Journey to the West”(JTW) at “Tanah Airku” Theatre, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. JTW was a mixture of dance, music and theatre performed by SHB students and teachers from SHB Modernhill. These great performances involved more than 500 students from Kiddy Club (2.5 years old) to High School level.
The school production itself represented the culmination of a full circle of the teaching and learning process at SHB. This annual event is actually a form of responsibility, as well as the schools offering to parents in providing a quality education for their sons and daughters. Through the school production students are able to hone their artistic skills. In addition they also develop values for character development.
In 2017 SHB chose the play “Journey to The West” for the school production. JTW itself is a fictional adaptation of the classic Chinese story of Sun Go Khong and Kera Sakti which elaborates with the Rama-Shinta stories from Ramayana. As narrated, Sun Go Khong was stranded in a land called Nusantara on his journey to the west. There he met Rama who was fighting against Rahwana, who had kidnapped the Goddess Shinta.
The story was presented in three languages (Indonesian, English, and Mandarin) and featured Chinese and Indonesian traditions staged in 25 songs and 18 dance creations performed by by over 500 participants for 110 minutes non-stop.
The audience was stunned when Sun Go Kong wandered the archipelago and saw the richness of nature and culture represented by the distinctive rhythm “Sabang to Merauke” along with the songs that accompanied it. The music combined ethnic Javanese, Balinese and Chinese with a contemporary touch.
The committee sold as many as 1020 tickets. Some of the proceeds from the sale of these were donated to a special education foundation for children with disabilities and special needs. These are all forms of care and gratitude to SHB's extended family as an educational institution for the community.
SHB has in the field of education for 22 years. Located in Pondok Cabe, SHB Modernhill is building additional facilities in the form of new buildings, sports fields and children's playgrounds to improve the quality of SHB’s services to students and parents. By prioritizing Knowledge, Faith, and Character SHB Modernhill strives to continue to exist and grow to take part in the process of educating people in this country.

于2017年4月22日（星期四），现代山庄民望学校举办了校园剧之西游记的演出。坐落在印度尼西亚迷你公园的Tanah Airku剧场。本西游记的音乐剧是现代山庄民望学校的学生及老师们的歌舞演出。现代山庄民望学校的学生，自从幼儿园小小班直到高中生在本次的隆重音乐剧里，一起登台展现他们的才华。
本次的校园剧成为民望学校的教学活动的高潮节目。本年度的活动是希望能够证明给家长们，学校已经提供了良好的教育给他们的孩子。通过校园剧也能够磨练学生们的才华。此外，他们也能够发展品格的价值观。
本2017年的校园剧主题为“西游记”。西游记是中国的古典故事。讲解有关孙悟空神猴的故事。本次的音乐剧是与印度的罗摩及悉多的古典故事结合起来的音乐剧。故事内容是演了孙悟空去了一个叫作Nusantara的国家。在此地，他遇见了罗摩。当时罗摩正在与罗刹魔王罗波那作战，因为魔王绑架了悉多娘娘。
本三种语言的音乐剧使用了印尼文，英文及中文，展现了中华及印尼文化的韵味。登台的时候，演唱了25首歌，18种舞蹈，由500名的演员不断地在110分钟内演了精彩的音乐剧。
该演出吸引了观众的目光，看了孙悟空漫游Nusantara国家，观赏此地的自然及文化的富有。在台上跳了从沙璜到马老奇的传统舞蹈，由独特的音乐伴奏。登台的音乐是结合了爪哇，巴厘，及中国的当代感音乐。
本次的音乐剧，委员会售卖了1020张的入场票。一部分的收入将捐赠给教育基金会，特别提供特殊的教育给一些有特殊需求的孩子们。这也是证明了民望学校成为一家教育机构对社会的感谢及关怀。
民望学校作为一家教育机构已经成立了22年。坐落在Pondok Cabe区， 南丹格朗。目前，现代山庄民望学校正在增加设施，如：新的校楼，体育场，儿童游乐场。目的是要提供良好的教育素质给学生及家长们。在教学过程中也优先了知识，信仰及品格。现代山庄民望学校不断地发展并为国家教育下一代的年轻人，继续为国家争光。

School production 2017 ini SHB memilih lakon “Journey to The West”. JTW sendiri merupakan cerita rekaan adaptasi dari kisah klasik Tiongkok yaitu Sun Go Khong, Si Kera Sakti yang elaborasikan dengan cuplikan kisah Rama-Shinta dari Ramayana. Dikisahkan dalam perjalanannya ke Barat Sun Go Khong terdampar di sebuah negeri bernama Nusantara. Di situ ia bertemu Rama yang tengah bertempur melawan Rahwana yang telah menculik Dewi Shinta yang diculik.
Cerita yang disajikan dalam tiga Bahasa (Bahasa Indonesia, Inggris, dan Mandarin) menyajikan tradisi-tradisi khas Tiongkok dan Indonesia yang dipentaskan dalam 25 lagu dan 18 kreasi tari dibawakan oleh lebih dari 500 orang penampil selama 110 menit tanpa henti.
Penonton dibuat terkesima ketika Sun Go Kong mengembara Nusantara dan melihat kekayaan alam dan budayanya yang direpresentasikan dengan lenggang khas dari Sabang sampai Merauke berikut alunan langgam yang mengiringinya. Musik yang diusung dalam pentas ini pun memadukan etnik Jawa, Bali, Tiongkok dengan sentuhan kontemporer.
Panitia mencatat jumlah tiket yang terjual sebanyak 1020 tiket. Sebagian hasil penjualan tiket didonasikan ke yayasan pendidikan khusus anak tuna daksa dan berkebutuhan khusus. Ini semua adalah bentuk kepedulian dan rasa syukur keluarga besar SHB menjadi lembaga pendidikan bagi masyarakat.
SHB Modernhill sendiri telah 26 tahun berkiprah dalam bidang edukasi. Berlokasi di bilangan Pondok Cabe, SHB Modernhill kini tengah membangun fasilitas tambahan berupa gedung baru, lapangan olahraga dan taman bermain anak demi meningkatkan mutu layanan SHB kepada siswa dan orang tua. Dengan mengutamakan Knowledge, Faith, and Character SHB Modernhill berusaha untuk tetap eksis dan berkembang ambil bagian dalam proses mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa di negeri ini.
