August is an exciting month at our school. We begin this month with parent teacher conference, an important occasion for teachers and parents to communicate and work together to support our students’ learning and development. Through meaningful discussions, parents and teachers can share observations, celebrate students’ progress, and discuss areas where students can continue to grow. We believe that strong communication between home and school plays an important role in helping every child reach their full potential.
Every year, we celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day on August 17th with meaningful and exciting activities. In the morning, students and teachers will gather for a flag ceremony to commemorate Indonesia’s independence and honor the courage and sacrifices of the heroes who fought for our freedom.
After the flag ceremony, the celebration will continue with activities that highlight Indonesia’s rich cultural diversity. Students will wear various traditional Indonesian clothes representing different regions of the country and take part in a lively traditional costume parade. We will also have Cultural Booths, where students can explore different aspects of Indonesian traditions, including regional food, arts, crafts, customs, and other cultural heritage. These activities provide a fun way for students to learn about and appreciate the diversity that makes Indonesia unique.
Through our Independence Day celebration, we hope students will develop a deeper appreciation for their country and understand that although Indonesia has many different cultures and traditions, we are united as one nation. We look forward to celebrating this special occasion together and creating wonderful memories with our students, teachers, and families. May this August be a month filled with unity, learning, joy, and pride in our Indonesian heritage!
