Semester Reflection

Aurelia Liony N. (Grade 11 Level B)

I’ve been studying in Sekolah Harapan Bangsa (mostly people call it SHB) since I was grade 7. Now I just started my grade 11 about one or two months ago. Based on their slogan which is “Knowledge, Faith and Characters” SHB really gives us a good curriculum, not only has a good curriculum, SHB also gives us good knowledge and enough facilities for us to study. They always provide what the students need. SHB also builds our faith, that’s why we should attend fellowship every Friday and last year we had Youth Camp.

SHB has one tradition, every morning at 7.10 AM they will turn on the assembly music through the radio class as a sign that every student has to gather around at the ceremony hall form a line based on our class, then we will pray together and we’ll listen to the teacher who gives us a great suggestion for our goodness and our future. This assembly is also a way to builds our character, it teaches us how to be more discipline.

The teachers are quite nice, some of them are just really humble (this type of teacher is a teacher who likes to joke around among the students) some of them are firm but they’re still nice though. They’re also fair to every students without any exception, I conclude they’re a really great teacher who has their own way to teach us.

My friendship at SHB is amazing too, there are many nice friend at SHB. Each of them has different and interesting personalities. Some of them are just really smart (this type of person is a student who usually go for the academic competition) some of them are really noisy but they’re so friendly and fun to be friend with, some of them have an amazing sport skill (usually they go out and compete with another school athletes in a cup) and some of them are just really active and enthusiastic to join every school activities. Like I said before, they’re all nice. But I still have some expectations to SHB to be a better school by improving the school facilities, add more interesting extracurricular, clubs, programs and activities, etc. That’s all, thank you
