Kartini’s Day

Who didn’t know with the figure of Raden Ajeng Kartini or called R.A. Kartini. As a symbol for women’s struggle in Indonesia, She was the one who struggle for women emancipation. We can see what has changed with all women before, but what has happened with all women now? What does everyone think about Kartini’s Day?
As a High school student who has spent almost 15 years in this beautiul country and as a young Indonesian man, I’m proud with the history of women’s emancipation and also i love this country so much.I think that we could know how women on discrimnation before by read the history. People said that now women already have had same rights with men, but i still see some discrimination for women.
May 2, 1964, is the day when Soekarno issued a decision Kartini’s Birthday as Kartini’s Day. 21 April is the day when Kartini was born. People now a days calebrate Kartini’s Day by wearing a traditional uniform.
Now a days Women has gained same equality with men. They can go to school at least until senior high . They also can start their own career, but some company still have discrimination with their workers because they are woman.
In political rights, men and women have the same degree. Especially for women, Indonesia commission protection rights of women and children. Their job is to protect women’s emancipation and rights for children, but there’s still some discrimination for women’s rights .
In medical world, women almost have the same degree for health facilities. In isolated area or remote area health facilities only have few facilties for women’s reproduction, so almost women in remote area choose delivery in quack.
In this life we can not discriminating different between us. We need to eliminate discrimination from this country. We still have chance to change, as long as we don’t give up and try to make this country better.Happy Kartini’s Day. ” There are no clouds in the sky that remains forever .
