[:en]There are as many kinds of love as there are hearts. Maybe Tolstoy would know about love better. But in this month I guess it would be one of the best time to talk about love since Valentine’s coming right up and hey, maybe you’d get a word or two to say to your number one after pondering and fathoming about what love actually is. Google said love means an intense feeling of deep affection. Now, is it really just that? Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. Just like what Brand said from the movie Interstellar. I agree with that statement. We love people who have died, where's the social utility in that? Some people believe love is an illusion. Love could also be a chemical reaction:
Love at first sight is translated by the thalamus as a “desired human chemical reaction”, an important message which is then sent to the amygdala (the core memory center), resulting in the flooding of endorphins and other neurochemicals, such as oxytocin, vasopressin, and dopamine, in the emotional center of the brain, the “limbic system”.
Love is a simple thing yet it could be so complicated and powerful. Love can drive us into unimaginable things. Who knows you're going to fall into the pits of love with someone you claim to hate. Love is so strong it can change someone. A mother can live with a hungry stomach as long as her children are well-fed. Learning about love also means learning about sacrifice. Nothing is really free, so does love I guess. Love comes at a pretty sick cost. Let’s say you want to confess your feelings to someone. There are two conditions to begin with a.) Your number one said ‘yes’ and accept it; or b.) Nope, sorry buddy they said no. See? There are already things to sacrifice before you confess, your post relationship. Loving someone or something also means you have to sacrifice time for them. That’s the hard one. Sometimes giving time for yourself is already a hard task with all the job and to-do lists.
Now I might know so little of love. Who am I to talk much about love right? Whatever shapes and kinds of love you're having with anyone in your life; your family, your lover, your best friends, it's worth giving a bit of your time to them. After all, love brings us all the good things. Respect, forgiveness, mercy, trust, blessings. Whatever it is you desire, love can bring it.
