Christmas Celebration 2020

Christmas has always been an incredible moment for our Catholic and Christian children and colleagues and extended to everyone to share the joy with the loved ones, families, friends, partners, and broader people in the community facing challenges in a less fortunate situation. This year has been and continues to be an exceptional year in every regard, as we are facing challenges caused by the ongoing COVID-19 situation. We have managed our learning activities to virtual. We need to take an opportunity to extend express our gratitude to the parents and families for the exceptional understanding and unwavering support towards our children to continue their learnings in this situation.

Christmas Celebration at Harapan Bangsa Secondary School was held on December 8, 2020, with the theme “Emmanuel: God be with Us.” All students from a different faiths, teachers, and staff were also invited to the celebration. Sr. Yohana Manik KKSY delivered the Christmas reflection to remind us to continue doing good for everyone around us, just like the meaning of Christmas itself. Thru this Christmas, everyone is called to be grateful as God the Emmanuel is always with us. Also, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Secondary School shared the joy of Christmas with the children of Graha Murni Luhur, Kembangan. At this Christmas Celebration, all students were also asked to make a poster to share their spirits and hopes, so everyone could still have hope in this pandemic. This is what Christmas is all about; although we face a pandemic, we are called to share the joy and hopes of Christmas to everyone around us, for God is always be with us. Emmanuel!
