Orientation day for Grade 3 and 4

The school orientation period is a period of introduction to the school environment. The students get to know the place where they study, the teachers and classmates. The orientation period is very important in order to prepare students to enter real learning activities.

Starting from Monday, July 18 – Wednesday, July 20, 2022, the School of Harapan Bangsa  students took part in a series of orientation activities that were designed in such a way by the teachers. On Monday, for example,  took part in the English Time activity organised by Ms. Jenny and accompanied by the class teachers. In this game children practiced writing words in English. They were divided into groups and took turns writing down the words spoken by the teacher. For the second game, the students were divided into five groups with one group consisting of five or six students. They worked together  to fill in crossword puzzles about school. The first day's activities ended with the introduction of students to the class teachers in each class.

The marching exercise was the material for the activities on the second day. Pak Hadi together with the teachers explained to the students how to stand, line up, face left and right correctly. The ultimate goal of this activity is for students to be more disciplined in participating in flag ceremony activities. In the second session, Nurse Ayu showed the students how to take care of their health and take care of themselves.

 The material was delivered by brainstorming and interspersed with songs and video screenings on how to wash hands properly.

The third day began with an introduction to the values ​​of Pancasila which were packaged in the Character Building material. Ms. Endang opened the activity with the chicken dance and a few words followed by movements with the intention that the children could focus more and follow the activity well. The children were happy and enjoyed this activity. The third day's activities ended by coloring the pictures that had been prepared by our art teacher Mr. Purwanto.
