Students learn best through experience

Moving to Sekolah Harapan Bangsa was such a great experience. Here, I learned a lot of new things, made new friends, and gained new experiences. My favorite thing about SHB is that we have a lot of fun and educational activities.

Some of the activities include field trips, camping, SHB Fest, Mooncake Festival, and more.

In 7th grade, we went to Ciawi for a field trip. I learned a lot, such as responsibility, communication with others, group work, and more. I had a lot of fun during that field trip because we played games together, went trekking, and more.

From SHB Fest, I learned about organization and how to communicate with others. SHB Fest is a festival held by the OSIS of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa. This year’s SHB Fest included a basketball competition, E-Sport, a band, and an English debate. The festival lasted for 6 days, and on the 6th day, we had a charity concert with our guest star, Jaz! The money we raised from SHB Fest was donated to YKAKI, Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia.

Students learn best from experience because we actively ask questions, investigate, experiment, are curious, solve problems, get creative, and are challenged to make decisions while engaging in activities.
