COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY – CLASS OF 2024

At the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, Kindergarten B students graduated with a Commencement Celebration-themed “Years Filled with Joy and Memories.” All Kindergarten B students attended the event with their parents, and some even brought their siblings. Taking photos together in the photo booth area became a popular morning activity before meeting their friends in the designated waiting area.

When the event began, all of the students lined up neatly with their teachers and friends. They walked into the auditorium with broad smiles and went straight to the stage. The opening prayer, led by Ms. Tami, inspired the students to sing the Indonesian national anthem and the SHB anthem. They even recited the SHB Pledge in three languages aloud. As the students returned to their seats, they heard words of wisdom from Mr. Bernard Rasli, a board member of the Yayasan Pendidikan Harapan Bangsa, Ms. Maria Angela, principal of SHB Preschool Modernland, and Mrs. Ingrairi Dewi, a parent representative who was warmly welcomed by all students and parents. During the ceremony, the Kindergarten B students proudly stepped forward, having completed their education at SHB Preschool – Modernland. Class performances and photo compilations from each class brought back memories of the children's school days.

Then, student representatives delivered speeches in three languages. Hansel from KB-2 delivered a speech in Mandarin to the school, followed by the presentation of a bouquet to Mr. Bernard Rasli on behalf of the foundation. Violeta from KB-3 delivered an English speech addressed to the teachers, which concluded with the presentation of flowers. Heidi from KB-1 delivered an Indonesian speech to the parents, and the students approached their parents' seats to express their love and respect with flowers and candles. The students then performed “Guruku Tersayang,” “Memories,” and “shǒu qiān shǒu” as their final performance. Ms. Mamduha led the closing prayer, which brought the unforgettable performance to an end.

The moments of togetherness and joy felt incomplete without photos, so the photography team prepared to capture them with a family photo session following the event. After the family photos, students returned their graduation gowns and enjoyed refreshments.
