Sharing Because of Love* SHB CARNIVAL & BAZAAR FUN GAMES Harapan Bangsa School Modernhill

“Sharing because of love.” That is essentially the theme of the annual event organized by Harapan Bangsa preschool and primary school, Modernhill, Pondok Cabe. Through this event, our students shared with less fortunate children from the ‘Pintu Elok' Orphanage. The event, titled “SHB Carnival & Bazaar and Fun Games,” was held on Saturday, November 2, 2024. It was packed with enjoyable and engaging programs designed to encourage students, parents, and everyone involved to share and give back. 

The “Bazaar and Fun Games” featured various exciting activities, such as a Spelling Bee competition, Mandarin karaoke, drawing, tote bag coloring, and e-sport games. In addition, there were fun sports activities like mini golf, nerf gun shooting, ring toss, hockey shooting, mini bowling, darts, basketball shootout, balloon house, a balloon bouncy castle, and a water gun battle.
The orphanage located at Jl. Benda Barat 6, Pamulang 2, South Tangerang, Banten, became a friend to the students for this act of sharing. Several children representing Pintu Elok Orphanage were invited to attend the 3.5-hour event that day. Yordan Yeremias, one of the children from the orphanage, said, “We feel very honored that Harapan Bangsa School (abbreviated as SHB) wants to share with us. We pray that SHB will always nurture and producr the nation's finest young people.” Yordan, both a mentor and one of the many children at the orphanage, has lived there since he was a baby. Recently, he graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in October, thanks to the support of the orphanage. He has grown up and persevered alongside other children in Pintu Elok Orphanage without his parents' presence since infancy.
