The Chinese New Year celebration at school on Thursday, February 6th, was exciting! We all had to arrive before 07:15 and head straight to the basketball court for the assembly. Everyone wore red and gold to celebrate the occasion, making the place feel festive and energetic. Parents were also invited. The event was only a half-day, so we were dismissed at noon, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the festivities before heading home.
The event began with the SHB pledge and a speech to start the celebration. The performances were incredible, with students from all grades participating. Everyone brought their best, from the youngest kindergarteners to the senior high school students. There were beautiful dances, like the fan dance, the umbrella dance, and so much more. And it was amazing to see how everyone worked together to create such a colourful show. The auditorium was filled with energy as each group performed, and you could tell everyone had put a lot of effort into their routines.
Even though not all of us were performing, it was just as fun to watch. The crowd cheered loudly, and there was so much excitement. It felt incredible to be part of the celebration. It was one of the best events of the school year in 2025, and we all enjoyed it together, celebrating Chinese New Year with friends and classmates.
