On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, we held the Kindergarten A Guest for Learning event in collaboration with Museum Layang-layang Indonesia.
Flying a kite is a fun and educational activity for children, combining creativity, movement, and outdoor exploration. Through the “Learn, Decorate, and Fly a Kite” activity, children discover how kites work, explore different shapes and colors, and enjoy the excitement of making something that can soar in the sky. Simple demonstrations and storytelling make learning about wind and movement engaging and interactive.
The decorating part allows children to express their creativity using crayons to decorate their kites. This hands-on activity enhances fine motor skills and gives a sense of accomplishment. Each kite becomes a unique piece of art, encouraging self-expression and imagination while making the experience even more special.
Finally, the most exciting part—flying the kites! With a little help, children run and watch their kites lift into the air, experiencing the joy of movement and outdoor play. Even if some kites don’t fly high, the activity promotes teamwork, coordination, and a love for exploration, making it a memorable and valuable experience for the children.
Everyone was happy throughout the activity, and we had a fantastic time together discovering and flying a kite.
