Independence Day Celebration at Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Joyful, Educational, and Full of National Spirit

To commemorate the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Sekolah Dasar Harapan Bangsa held a series of joyful and spirited activities on August 19, 2025. This event was not only entertaining but also educational, instilling a love for the homeland while strengthening solidarity among students.

The celebration began with a solemn flag-raising ceremony at the school hall. Despite the morning rain, students, teachers, and staff participated enthusiastically and with discipline. In his speech, the ceremony leader emphasized the true meaning of independence and the importance of the younger generation in preserving and filling independence with positive actions.

After the ceremony, various competitions were held with great excitement. The competitions were divided into two categories: grades 1–3 and grades 4–6. Students in grades 1–3 joined spoon and egg races, spoon and marble races, flag races, and balloon races. Meanwhile, students in grades 4–6 participated in flag races, sack races, a marathon, and the “ Who’s Smarter ? ” quiz competition.

Through these activities, students gained valuable experiences in upholding nationalism and solidarity. They learned that independence is not only celebrated with joy but also serves as a momentum to strengthen unity and togetherness. The event ran smoothly, meaningfully, and full of excitement, leaving a lasting spirit of independence in every student’s heart.
