81st Independence Day Celebration

On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, TK Harapan Bangsa proudly celebrated the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia with great enthusiasm and joy. The event was attended by all TK Harapan Bangsa students and featured a variety of activities designed to foster a sense of patriotism, togetherness, creativity, and nationalism from an early age.

The event began with a flag-raising ceremony, led by the students of the Playgroup (KB) and attended by all students of TK Harapan Bangsa. The children participated in the ceremony enthusiastically and respectfully. This activity provided a meaningful opportunity for the students to learn about the significance of independence and to develop a sense of pride in being Indonesian.

After the ceremony, the event continued with performances by each class group. The KC students confidently performed the song “Balonku Ada Lima.” The PG students then performed “7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat” with great enthusiasm. Next, the KA students performed “Aku Anak Indonesia,” adding to the patriotic atmosphere of the celebration. The final performance was presented by the KB students through a lively and joyful traditional Indonesian dance. All of the performances received enthusiastic appreciation from the teachers and fellow students.

Following the performances, the students continued the celebration by visiting four activity booths prepared in different areas of the school. The children visited each booth in turns according to their class groups, allowing the activities to run in an organized, enjoyable, and engaging manner.

The four booths consisted of Merah Putih Art Station, located in the KC classroom; Story Time, located in the PG classroom; Flag Hunt Adventure, located in the Activity Room; and Friendship Mural, located in the KB classroom. At each booth, the children participated in different fun and engaging activities, including art activities, listening to stories, independence-themed games, and collaborative activities that encouraged friendship and teamwork.

Through these rotating booth activities, the children not only enjoyed meaningful learning experiences through play but also learned important skills such as following rules, taking turns, working together with their friends, and having the confidence to try new activities.

As a special keepsake, each student also received a traditional “trotokan ayam” toy and a commemorative pin. These souvenirs brought additional joy to the children and served as a memorable reminder of their Independence Day celebration.

The Independence Day celebration at TK Harapan Bangsa was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and memorable experiences for all the students. Through this celebration, the children were encouraged to appreciate and love Indonesian culture, develop a strong spirit of togetherness, and grow into a generation that is proud to be part of Indonesia.
