Friday, 14th March, is another no-original day for SHB students, as it’s time for another English Day at SHB. Classes are permitted to decorate their classroom based on the theme they choose. After some deep discussion with my 9A classmates, we decided to choose the “Wreck-It Ralph” movie as our theme. We know that our final test is also on the same day, so we have to work fast.
On D-Day, we finished our math final test at 9:30, decorated our class, and changed our clothes. I dressed as Felix, one of the movie’s characters. We managed to set tables, games, prizes, and even movies before 10:30. As I’m one of 9A’s classmates who works on the first shift, I stayed at my class and welcomed students and teachers who came into 9A.
At about 11.30, all students leave their class to go to their religious class. My Islam mates and I went to a nearby mosque for a Friday prayer, and by 1 o’clock, the religion session was over.
Not long after 1 o’clock, the judges, Mr. Damien, Mr. Chris, and Mr. Farhan, went to our class to rate it. We entertained them by making them play games that we already prepared before. The games are charades, throwing a ring to a cone, and guessing the position of a pin. The judges looked very impressed, and we were very happy. While waiting for the judge’s result, I toured the other classes.
At 2:30, the judges announced the winner of this year’s English Day. It turns out our class won 3rd place! We jumped for joy and celebrated our victory inside the class. I took our class’s prize, and we all went home happily.
