English Spelling Bee Competition

On Saturday, 17 October 2015, Junior High SHB Modernhill, participated in the English Spelling Bee Competition, held by English First Pamulang. We had 5 students, Decynka Zanasheilaya, Stephanie, Mutiara Greeta, Kirana Saraswati, and Davina Kusuma, to participate as school representatives for the event.  There were a lot of students from different schools participated in the event, as the place was quite crowded. There were 3 sessions of the competition. The first and second session was spelling in writing and the third was to speak in front of the audience.

Four of our students had enough points to make it to the top list to continue to the second session. While waiting for the result, they were quite nervous and scared at first, but when it came out, everyone was quite happy and enthusiastic to continue to the next session.

After the wait, they continue to participate in the second session. This time, the result was not as satisfying as the first because one of our members, Davina, didn’t make it to the top 5 list for the third session of the competition. Even then, she kept supporting her friends to give their best. Three students from Sekolah Harapan Bangsa made it to the finale. Beside the other two students from another school, they were actually competing with each other in this session.

It was a tight competition between one and another, but two of our students, Decynka and Mutiara, still made the title of First and Second Place Winner. Congratulations for the two students who won and good competition for the three students who had given their best from preparation until the contest. The two students will continue to the up-coming event, the National Spelling Bee Competition, in Kelapa Gading. All the best for them.

拼字比赛

于2015年10月17日(星期六) ，Modernhill初，高中学参与EF-Pamulang举办的拼字比赛。5名学生，Decynka Zanasheilaya, Stephanie, Mutiara Greeta, Kirana Sarawasti 和 Davina Kusuma 代表学校参加该比赛。有很多来自于其他学校的学生也参加本次的比赛。因此，在比赛场所气氛非常地热闹。在本次的比赛分成3个回合。第1和第2回合是笔试，第3个回合就是决赛，参赛者必须在观众面前演讲。

民望学校4名学生得到足够的分数进入第2个回合。等待结果的时候，学生们都很怕也很紧张。但是结果出来了以后，大家都很开心也很兴奋能进入下一个回合。

没多久，他们就参加了第2个回合。第2个回合的结果不太理想。因为我校的队员,Davina同学被淘汰了而不能进入决赛的5强。但是，她还是支持她的朋友鼓励他们努力做的最好。民望学校的3名学生终于进入决赛。其他2名学生是来自于其他学校的学生。在决赛的时候民望学校的3名学生也互相地竞争。

在本次的比赛很明显地显示了激烈的竞争。但是我校的2名学生Decynka同学 和 Mutiara同学 获得冠军和亚军。祝贺2名的获胜者。也感谢3名已经努力做的最好的学生。这2名的获胜者，于11月29日将在Kelapa Gading参与全国拼字比赛的总决赛。

Kompetisi Spelling Bee

Pada Sabtu, 17 Oktober, 2015, SMP SHB Modernhill, berpartisipasi dalam kompetisi Spelling Bee, yang diselenggarakan oleh English First Pamulang. Lima siswa, Decynka Zanasheilaya, Stephanie, Mutiara Greeta, Kirana Saraswati, dan Davina Kusuma, berpartisipasi sebagai wakil sekolah untuk acara tersebut. Ada banyak siswa dari sekolah-sekolah lainnya yang turut berpartisipasi dalam acara ini, sebagaimana tempat itu terlihat cukup ramai. Ada 3 sesi dalam kompetisi ini. Sesi pertama dan kedua adalah sesi tertulis dan yang ketiga adalah sesi final, yang berbicara di depan penonton.

Empat siswa mendapatkan poin yang cukup untuk berada dalam daftar teratas untuk melanjutkan ke sesi kedua. Pada saat menunggu hasil, para siswa merasa gugup dan takut pada awalnya, tetapi ketika hasil keluar, semuanya berubah menjadi senang dan semangat untuk melanjutkan ke sesi berikutnya.

Setelah menunggu, mereka kemudian berpartisipasi dalam sesi kedua. Kali ini, hasilnya tidak memuaskan seperti yang pertama karena salah satu anggota kami, Davina, gugur dan tidak masuk ke daftar 5 teratas untuk kompetisi sesi ketiga. Akan tetapi, dia tetap mendukung teman-temannya untuk memberikan yang terbaik. Tiga siswa dari Sekolah Harapan Bangsa berhasil sampai ke final. Selain dua siswa lain dari sekolah yang berbeda, dalam sesi ini, ketiga siswi SHB saling bersaing satu sama lain.

Kompetisi tersebut menampakkan sebuah persaingan yang ketat antara satu dengan yang lain, tapi dua siswi kami, Decynka dan Mutiara, tetap berhasil mendapatkan juara Pertama dan Kedua. Selamat untuk dua siswi yang telah memenangkan kompetisi dan terima kasih untuk tiga siswa yang telah memberikan yang terbaik dari persiapan sampai pada acaranya. Kedua siswi yang telah memenangkan kompetisi tersebut, akan kembali bersaing dengan siswa-siswi dari sekolah lainnya dan mengikuti Spelling Bee tingkat Nasional di Kelapa Gading pada tanggal 29 November.
