An Open House Unforgettable Experience: We won in the Sushi Making Competition

[:en]My friends and I decided to join the sushi making competition on Saturday, October 1, during the SHB Cambridge Open House. We decided to join because our cooking class teacher suggested it. When we entered the competition we didn’t expect to win at all, instead we joined the competition just to have fun before the term test begins.

We were told that the time given to make the three types of sushi would be only thirty minutes. We chose to make California roll, spicy tuna roll, and tempura roll. During the competition, Callista chopped the ingredients, Jasmine and Grace rolled the sushi, and I cut the sushi and decorated it.

During the competition the atmosphere was very tense. After the competition ended, we were all worried that we wouldn’t win since the other contestant’s presentations were better than ours. There were 11 groups from the three SHB schools: SHB 3, SHB Modernhill and Cambridge Modernland.

When the winners were finally announced and we received third place, we were all very surprised and very happy.

I think my experience with this competition is very satisfying and memorable.

Steffany Sondak,  CS-4[:zh]我和朋友已经决定了参加民望学校开放日里举办的制作寿司比赛。比赛举办于2016年10月1日。我们参加该比赛，是因为我们的烹饪老师鼓励我们去参加。刚开始的时候，我们也没抱着任何希望。仅是一起趁热闹参加比赛而已。就当作还没面对期中考试之前，把自己轻松一下。

比赛的规则就是要我们在30分钟内，制作3钟寿司。我们选择了做加利福尼亚州寿司，辣金枪鱼寿司和，天妇罗寿司。在比赛进行中，Callista同学准备材料，而Jasmine和Grace同学卷寿司，把寿司切成块并装饰寿司。

比赛的时候，气氛非常紧张。比赛结束的时候，我们都很担心不能入名。因为其他竞组的寿司装饰比我们好很多。中校和分校加起来的参与者，总共有11组。

最期待的时刻终于到了，原来我们成功了获得季军。当时，我们觉得惊喜也非常的高兴。

我对此次的寿司比赛结果非常的满意。

剑桥中学四年级[:id]Saya dan teman-teman telah memutuskan untuk ikut serta dalam kompetisi Sushi pada tanggal 1 Oktober 2016 bertepatan dengan Open House yang diselenggarakan oleh pihak sekolah. Kami memutuskan untuk ikut dalam kompetisi, karena Guru masak kami mendorong kami untuk mengikutinya. Pada saat awal kami tidak mempunyai harapan lebih, hanya ikut meramaikan acara saja, sambil santai sejenak sebelum menghadapi ujian mid test.

Sebelum berkompetisi, kami telah diinformasikan untuk dapat membuat Sushi dalam waktu 30 menit. Kami memilih untuk membuat Sushi California roll, Spicy Tuna roll dan Tempura roll. Sepanjang kompetisi, Callistalah yang bertugas untuk memotong dan mempersiapkan bahan-bahan, sedangkan Jasmine dan Grace bertugas untuk menggulung sushi, memotong sushi dan menghiasnya.
Sepanjang kompetisi kami merasakan atmosfir pertandingan yang sangat intens. Setelah kompetisi berakhi, kami semua menunggu dengan cemas karena grup kompetitor lainnya menghasilkan sushi dengan dekorasi yang lebih bagus dari kami. Total ada sebanyak 11 grup yang ikut serta dalam kompetisi ini baik dari SHB Modernland maupun SHB modernhill. Akhirnya, saat-saat yang paling ditunggu datang juga. Kami diumumkan sebagai pemenang ketiga. Pada saat itu kami kaget dan sekaligus berbahagia.

Saya cukup puas dengan hasil dari kompetisi ini.
