[:en]Being a leader is not an easy task. Like previous years, every new Student Council members has to go through Basic Leadership Training (LDK), in which all members are taught to be students who are able to lead both themselves and their friends. The Basic Leadership Training activity was conducted for three days on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 until Friday, January 12, 2018. Training activities for junior high and senior high are combined into one. This activity was attended by 12 students from junior high’s Student Council and 6 students from senior high’s Student Council. The first day of the activity begins with the opening prayer, then there is a welcome speech by Ms. Melany Gigir as SHB Modernhill’s Head of School. After the opening ceremony, the next activity is ice breaking. The students are invited to get to know their friends who they will work together with as Student Council members. This activity makes the students excited to follow the training. After the warm-up, students are given material on the fundamentals of leadership as preparation in being a Student Council member. And then, they were given the material of public speaking so that all students have the ability and courage to speak in public. Activities on the first day were closed with a closing prayer. On this first day, students were given the task of bringing one snack for the second day and making a speech that will be used for public speaking practice.

On the second day the activity started at 14.10 and the activities for Junior High and Senior High are separated. Junior High’s activities were held in the hall and Senior High’s activities were held in the multi-purpose room. On this second day all the field sections in the 2018 Student Council were asked to present a work program for the next five months. In addition to being collected to share their programs, they are also invited to discuss about the programs they create. After the discussion, at 15:15 all the Student Council members gathered in the hall each bringing one snack. This task sounds trivial, but this task’s purpose is to point out the members who listened well and performed their duties and who didn’t. It also shows if the members who brought snacks with them would be kind and caring enough to share with the members who didn’t. At 15.30 the activities were closed with a prayer and given the task of bringing scissors, glue, a cutter, and one used item for the next day.

On the last day on Friday, January 12, 2018, all Student Council members gathered in the English Room at 14:10. As usual the activity begins with a prayer and continued with members giving speeches in front of their friends. Some students were very nervous, but some were confident. After the speeches, the next activity is the Seven Habits presentation. In this activity the students are invited to learn about good habits for themselves and others, especially in social life. After that the students were divided into two groups to create something from the secondhand things they brought within 15 minutes. Within those 15 minutes both groups were able to create very unique, innovative and creative work. One group made a game and one made ‘an animal of hope’. Each group gave a presentation on their work. This creativity activity finished at 15.15 and was closed by Mr. Aji as a representative for the principal as she couldn’t attend that day and ends with a prayer.[:zh]成为一名出色的领导者不是容易的事情。如同去年，每次委任新的学生会管理者都会举办基本领导能力培训班。目的是要配用所有的学生成为一名出色的领导者，能够自我领导并领导他人。培训班进行连续三天，于2018年1月10日（星期三）至1月12日（星期五）。初高中的基本领导能力培训班合在一起举办。参与者来自与12名初中的学生会，6名的高中学生会。培训班开始的时候，大家一起祈祷，现代山庄（Modernhill）民望学校的校长Melany Gigir致开幕词。为了打破冷场，学生们与他们的朋友互相认识并互相了解，因为接下来他们要一起工作管理学校的学生会。此节目让学生们很积极的参加基本领导能力培训班。做完热身后，老师提供有关基本领导能力的知识给学生们，希望他们能够管理好学生会。之后，提供公开演讲技巧的知识给学生们，希望他们具有充足的能力能够在公共发言。第一天的培训班结束的时候，大家一起祈祷。老师也分配任务给学生们，要他们在第二天培训的时候携带一种小吃，并准备一份演讲稿。训练他们在公共讲话的技巧。

第二天的培训班开始于下午2点10分。当天，初高中的活动被分开举办。初中学生会集合在大堂，而高中学生会集合在MPR室。今天，所有2018学生会管理下的部门都要演示接下来五个月的工作项目。除了分享工作项目外，也一起讨论有关他们设定的工作项目。之后，于下午3点15分，所有学生会集合在大堂。大家携带了小吃。听起来很简单，但是本任务的目的是要观察学生会会员的纪律，是否有服从指示。不仅如此，也要观察会员的爱心。若是有其他会员没带小吃，他们是否会分享自己的小吃给其他会员。于下午3点半，祈祷后，老师分配任务给学生们，要他们明天携带剪刀，胶，刀片以及一个用过的物品。

最后一天的培训班于2018年1月12日，下午2点10分，所有学生会集合在英文教室。如同平时一样，祈祷后大家在同学的面前演讲。看起来，有些学生很紧张，但是有些学生很有自信。演讲训练后，老师提供“七种习惯”的知识给学生们。在本活动，学生们被教导有关各种各样的好习惯，无论对自己或对社会到要有良好的行为。之后，学生们被分为连个小组。让他们在15分钟内使用他们带来的用过物品做出一项作品。在这15分钟里，我们能够看到学生们的创意性。第一组做了游戏，而另外一组做了一个有意愿的动物。之后，每个小组就介绍了自己的作品。本有创意性的活动结束于下午3点15分。Aji老师代表校长结束本培训班并带领学生做闭幕祈祷。[:id]Menjadi seorang pemimpin bukanlah hal yang mudah. Seperti tahun sebelumnya setiap pergantian OSIS baru selalu ada Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan (LDK), yang mana semua anggota dididik untuk menjadi siswa yang mampu memimpin baik memimpin diri sendiri maupun memimpin teman-teman. Kegiatan LDK dilakukan selama tiga hari yaitu pada hari Rabu, 10 Januari 2018 s.d. Jumat, 12 Januari 2018. Pelaksanaan LDK OSIS SMP dan SMA digabung menjadi satu. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 12 OSIS SMP dan 6 OSIS SMA. Pada hari pertama kegiatan diawali dengan doa pembuka, lalu ada sambutan oleh Ms. Melany Gigir selaku Head of School SHB Modernhill. Setelah acara pembukaan, kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu ice breaking, siswa-siswi diajak untuk mengenali teman-teman mereka yang akan bekerja sama selama menjadi OSIS. Kegiatan ini membuat siswa-siswi bersemangat mengikuti LDK. Setelah pemanasan, siswa-siswi diberi materi tentang dasar-dasar kepemimpinan untuk bekal ke menjadi OSIS. Selanjutnya diberi materi public speaking supaya semua siswa memiliki kemampuan dan keberanian untuk berbicara di depan umum. Kegiatan pada hari pertama ditutup dengan doa penutup. Pada hari pertama ini, murid-murid diberi tugas untuk membawa satu makanan ringan untuk hari kedua dan membuat sebuah pidato yang akan digunakan untuk praktik public speaking.

Pada hari kedua kegiatan kembali dilakukan pada pukul 14.10. Pada hari kedua pelaksannan kegiatan untuk SMP dan SMA dipisah. OSIS SMP di hall dan OSIS SMA berkumpul di ruang MPR. Pada hari kedua ini semua seksi bidang dalam OSIS tahun 2018 diminta untuk presentasi program kerja selama lima bulan yang akan datang. Selain dikumpulkan untuk membagikan program mereka, mereka juga diajak untuk berdiskusi tentang program-program yang mereka buat. Setelah selesai berdiskusi, pukul 15.15 semua OSIS  berkumpul di hall dengan membawa satu makanan ringan. Tugas ini terdengar sepele, namun tugas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui anggota OSIS yang menyimak dengan baik dan menjalankan tugasnya. Tidak hanya itu, ketika anggota lain tidak memiliki makanan apakah anggota lain peka dan peduli berbagi atau tidak. Pukul 15.30 kegiatan LDK ditutup dengan doa dan diberi tugas untuk membawa gunting, lem, cutter, dan satu barang bekas.

Pada hari terakhir Jumat, 12 Januari 2018, semua OSIS berkumpul di English Room pada pukul 14.10. Seperti biasa kegiatan diawali dengan doa dan dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan berpidato di depan teman-teman. Tampak beberapa siswa sangat gugup, tetapi ada juga yang sudah percaya diri. Setelah praktik berpidato, kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu materi Seven Habits.  Dalam kegiatan ini murid-murid diajak untuk belajar mengenai kebiasaan-kebasaan yang baik bagi diri sendiri dan sesama, terutama dalam kehidupan sosial. Setelah itu para murid dibagi menjadi dua kelompok untuk membuat karya dari barang bekas yang mereka bawa dalam waktu 15 menit. Dalam 15 menit tersebut kedua kelompok dapat membuat karya yang sangat unik, inovatif dan kreatif. Satu kelompok membuat game dan satu membuat binatang harapan. Setiap kelompok presentasi dari hasil kreativitasnya. Kegiatan kreativitas selesai pada pukul 15.15 dan ditutup oleh Mr. Aji yang mengantikan kepala sekolah yang tidak dapat hadir pada hari itu dan diakhiri dengan doa.[:]
