[:en]On Monday, 16^th July 2018, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill held an orientation attended by all junior and senior high school students. The orientation was opened with an ice breaker that aims to introduce old students to the neophytes which was then followed by an opening ceremony that signified the start of the orientation. The activity continued with the introduction of the teachers and staff. Games and the school tour was led by members of OSIS. The students were then told to go to their classes with their homeroom teachers to discuss rules, class structures and for “Yell-Yell” briefing which will be presented at the end of the 3-day event.

The second day of the orientation was also opened with an ice breaker followed by the presentation of the academic programs, activity program and CCA programs. After recess, the event was continued by playing a game called “Mission X” where students have to decipher a riddle that will show them where to go next to do a mini challenge.

On the third day, the event was opened by a flag raising ceremony with OSIS members as ceremony officers. After which, the students explained the rules and procedures of the school which was then followed by a pep talk on “How to Be A Successful Student” by the school counselor. Then, the event continued with a creativity session where students have to make something out of the stuff they were given guided with the theme “Togetherness” which was then evaluated to determine who created the best output. This academic year’s orientation ended lively with students performing their “Yell-Yell” routines – the product of their hard work since day 1.[:zh]二O 一八年,七月十六日,星期一. Modernhill 民望学校在开学之际,举办新生报告会,学校初中生和高中生大家都参加了这次报告会..这次报告会以破冰活动开始,让旧同学和新同学的相互地认识. 接下来就是让每一个同学都挂上姓名片,那就等于节目的开始. 接着在学生会员领导下 玩游戏和参观学校,最后就分配学生进教室接着班主任会宣布班规和开班会,还有跟学生们讨论关于闭幕的口号.

第二天也是以破冰活动开始节目,.接着介绍给学生们这学期的课程,活动,还有CCA课程. 接下来学生们就休息一会儿,休完息后,学生们就玩 “任务 X”  游戏, 就是每个同学要猜一个迷语,猜 到了就要马上走到迷语所指定的地方接受一些任务的挑战.

第三天,节目的开始是让 学生会代表领导学生们举行升旗仪式,接下来老师给学生讲解学校的常规,接着辅导员就展示给学生们”怎样成为一名成功的学生”, 接着每个学生分到一些资料就要把它创造出一个作品.题目是”和睦团结”, 节目还没结束以前学生们都要喊出每一组的口号.[:id]Pada hari Senin, 16 Juli 2018, Sekolah Harapan Bangsa Modernhill mengadakan masa orientasi yang diikuti oleh seluruh murid SMP dan SMA Harapan Bangsa Modernhill. Kegiatan MPLS ini diawali dengan kegiatan icebreaking yang memiliki tujuan untuk memperkenalkan siswa-siswi baru dengan siswa-siswi lama. Kegiatan dikuti dengan penyematan, tanda dimulainya kegiatan MPLS tersebut. Kegiatan berlanjut dengan perkenalan staff dan guru, permainan, dan school tour yang dipimpin oleh beberapa anggota OSIS. Siswa-siswi kemudian di persilakan untuk menuju ke kelas masing-masing bersama wali kelas untuk membahas peraturan dan organisasi kelas dan membuat yel-yel yang akan di lombakan pada akhir acara.

Hari kedua acara MPLS di awali dengan kegiatan ice breaking dan diikuti dengan presentasi academic program, activity program dan CCA program. Setelah siswa-siswi selesai istirahat, acara dilanjutkan dengan permainan yang bernama “Mission X” dimana siswa-siswi harus mencoba untuk mengartikan teka teki yang akan menunjuk mereka ke tempat yang harus mereka datangi untuk melakukan tantangan kecil.

Di hari ketiga, acara MPLS di awali dengan upacara pengibaran bendera dengan anggota OSIS sebagai petugas upacara. Setelah upacara, siswa-siswi dijelaskan tentang peraturan dan prosedur sekolah dan diikuti dengan presentasi “How to be a Successful Student” oleh konselor. Lalu, acara dilanjutkan dengan sesi kreativitas dimana siswa-siswi harus membuat sebuah karya dengan barang-barang yang dibagikan dengan tema “Kebersamaan” yang dilombakan. Setelah sesi kreativitas, acara MPLS ditutup dengan perlombaam yel-yel yang siswa-siswi telah buat di hari pertama.[:]
