English Day at Harapan Bangsa Junior and Senior High School

On 11 February 2025, Harapan Bangsa Junior and Senior High School successfully hosted English Day, a highly anticipated annual event celebrating students' creativity and linguistic skills. This year's theme, “Legends and Myths of the Ancient World,” brought to life captivating stories from different cultures through engaging performances and classroom activities. The day began with a preparation phase, as students enthusiastically set up their classrooms. Posters promoting the event were displayed throughout the school, and soft board decorations showcasing mythical legends were arranged creatively. Students busily prepared costumes and props, adding authenticity to their performances. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as participants finalized their drama videos and stage performances.

The event officially began with a tour of classrooms, where students showcased their drama videos based on various myths and legends. Each class featured a unique presentation, immersing the audience in legendary tales from different cultures. Students eagerly watched each other's videos, applauding the creativity and effort poured into the productions. The classrooms were filled with laughter, gasps of amazement, and spirited discussions about the legendary stories.

The highlight of the day was the live drama performances in the main hall, where grade 9 students brought the stories to life on stage. The audience was captivated by the passionate performances, vivid costumes, and engaging storytelling. The event concluded with the much-awaited awarding ceremony. Winners for the overall best drama, poster and classroom decorations were announced. 

Overall, English Day at Harapan Bangsa Junior and Senior High School was a resounding success. The event not only celebrated the richness of mythology but also fostered a love for the English language among students.
