修己慎独：

“修已”就是自我修身，加强修养和自觉性；“慎独”就是在自我独处时要严于律已，有高度的自觉性。加强自我修养最关键的是“慎独”。林则徐在居所悬挂一幅醒目的中堂，上书“慎独”二字，以警醒、勉励自己。晚清名臣曾国藩在遗嘱中第一条说到的就是“慎独”。可见慎独在古人心目中的地位是如此高高在上以及它在生活中的作用是如此的强大。
